The Exploits Valley YMCA reaches out to the community by offering a wide variety of programs and services. We are guided by our four core values:

In the gym, at day camp and at the service desk, we strive to develop these character values in our members and ourselves.

Whether you're looking for a place to get fit and relieve stress, a caring childcare environment, or a volunteer program to give something back to your community, you will find it at the YMCA.

 

 

We offer adult, student, teen, and family membership packages. Membership packages are flexible to meet your personal requirements and can be paid for in full or through a monthly payment plan. Payment for memberships can be done by Visa, MasterCard, or Pre-authorized Payment.

  • Access to Cross Training Centre

  • Complete access to fitness classes & programs

  • 1 Registered swim lesson per session

  • Access to scheduled swims. ( When appropriate )

  • Access to gymnasium for "open gym" setting

  • Access to hot tub / whirlpool and saunas

  • Earlier registration times for members

  • Cross Training Centre Orientation for all new members

  • 50% discount on all Specialty Programs

  • Access to squash courts and booking times

Teen & Child

  • Earlier registration time for Members

  • 1 registered swimming lesson per session

  • 50% discount on all programs requiring pre-registration

  • Access to scheduled swims. ( When appropriate )

  • 13 - 15 year olds have restricted access to the cardio room upon completing an orientation

Family Structure

  • 2 Adults (1 with spouse / partner) and all children under 18

  • Full time students up to 23 years may be included ( Must have valid ID )

  • Adults follow Adult benefits; Children follow Child & Teen benefits

 
YMCA BUILDING ENHANCEMENT FEE

 

The YMCA Building Enhancement Fee is used for maintenance improvements of our high quality facilities through renovations and refurbishment.  This is a one time contribution of $25.00 for all new adult members provided membership is continuous and does not lapse for more than 3 months.  Note: Only on fee per family / couple
MEMBERSHIP ASSISTANCE

 

The YMCA of Exploits Valley is committed to providing programs and services to people, regardless of economic circumstances.  The YMCA Opportunity Fund encourages anyone who cannot afford the full fee to benefit from a YMCA membership or program.

Here at the YMCA we understand that it is not always easy to ask for help and our staff members are dedicated to providing you with the utmost confidentiality and respect.  This program has been developed so that each family or individual will contribute only as much as they can afford.

DAY LOCKER ACCESS POLICIES

 

Family Change Room

We encourage adult caregivers to utilize this change room with children of the opposite sex 9 years of age and under

Women's General Change Room

Female YMCA members and guests, 10 years of age and over, are welcome to use this change room.  Children 6 to 9 years must be accompanied and supervised by same sex caregiver

Men's General Change Room

Male YMCA members and guests, 10 years of age and over, are welcome to use this change room.  Children 6 to 9 years must be accompanied and supervised by same sex caregiver

 
FITNESS CENTRE ETIQUETTE

Cardio equipment has to be signed up for and no one should go over their scheduled time

To maintain a clean facility we ask that you use the spray bottle and paper towel provided to wipe machines after use

Free weights should be returned to their stands after use

Sport sandals and outdoor footwear is not appropriate for any exercises and must not be worn
